For today’s EFD10, we’re bringing you ten of the most disappointing transfers from the season both in England and across the continent. We start with Donny van de Beek, who Manchester United stole from under the noses of Real Madrid, but seems to be limited to appearances in cup competitions this campaign.

Other Premier League entries include Cengiz Under at Leicester City and Josh King at Everton, both short term deals that neither club will likely look to continue come the end of the season. Fabio Silva also makes the list - Wolves spent £35M on the striker with just a handful of goals to show for it, although that’s still more than Sheffield United got out of Rhian Brewster this campaign.

Elsewhere, Vedat Muriqi has failed to make the grade at Lazio, and Mauro Icardi’s permanent switch to PSG has been underwhelming - he performs when he’s fit, but he’s just never fit when it matters. Aleksander Kolarov may be a good influence in the dressing room for Inter Milan, but he definitely isn’t on the pitch, and Marc Roca’s debut campaign at Bayeern Munich has been spent almost exclusively on the bench. Then of course, we had to include the Arthur-Miralem Pjanic swap - whoever thought that move was a good idea?
