Shazam 2 Release Date Moved to Fall 2022. Warner Bros. Shazam 2 is in the works, as officially revealed by New Line and Warner Bros. However, the 2022-bound sequel to the $364 million worldwide cinematic DC Comics smash could not withstand the COVID-19 pandemic, and will now see its release date significantly altered.


After Shazam and his newly-superpowered family defeat Dr Thaddeus Sivana and the Seven Deadly Sins, we catch up with the villain in his cell in the mid-credits scene. Here, Sivana meets Mister Mind, a highly-intelligent caterpillar-like creature who is a major supervillain in the comics.


While their filming schedules do align, don't expect either film to crossover into the other. Shazam star Zachary Levi stated that Black Adam would appear in Shazam 3 at the earliest, shutting down rumors that the antihero would cameo in Shazam 2. Similarly, the Shazam Family is not expected to appear in Black Adam.
