50% powermod is still reasonably close to a no event CE environment, especially if a servant is unable to abuse Black Grail NPs for no event CE run. Golden Sumo in conjunction with 50% event powermod gives a 72.5% buff to all cards compared to 80% buff to NP card for MLB Black Grail. The purpose is always to push servants to their limits by using minimum event powermod possible.

Yagyu relies on his burst skills for both damage and NP returns, which is disadvantageous in what is a largely pure damage-check fight. As he cannot leverage consecutive NPs to break bar 2 and 3 due to Berserker NP gain modifier, he needs event powermod to face card the remaining HP after a NP.
