Why do human beings judge one another? Why do we separate ourselves from others who have "special needs" when almost every human has somethig some special order or disorder - what Jake Kim calls "the human condition."
Jake Kim is an active and passionate student. He is fortunate enough to have had experience in numerous activities in the community. Jake believes that anyone of any background has the potential on lending a helping hand to make the world a better place. He hopes to pusue a career in medicinal research. In the meantime, Jake is currently an intern at the Westminister Free Clinic; Leadership Associate of WHS FBLA; and an editor of The Westlake Arrow. Additionally, he is the student coordinator and co-founder of the Science Center at WHS, member of Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra, and a student studying the violin at Colburn Community School. In his spare time, Jake loves to hike and listen to music. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
