Welcome to Stoicon Women, Courageous Paths to Flourishing. This is our second online gathering. We held our first Paths to Flourishing gathering in 2021 and it was the very first women-led conference on Stoicism ever. Our ‘Paths to Flourishing’ aim is to amplify and celebrate the voices and perspectives of women in Stoicism and to share the teachings and spirit of Stoicism with you all. You can learn more about Paths to Flourishing by visiting our website and signing up for our newsletter at https://pathstoflourishing.org/. We welcome everyone here and invite you all to join us on the path to flourishing. Modern Stoicism is a non-profit limited company, registered in the UK, run by a multidisciplinary team of volunteers. Its aims are to research and publish information on the application of Stoic philosophy to modern living for the benefit of the general public. Each year, in conjunction with Stoic Week, we also organize an annual event, Stoicon, enabling people following Stoic Week to meet face-to-face and share their experiences. We also encourage others to organize their own local Stoicon-x events. Courageous Paths to Flourishing: Stoicon Women Virtual Gathering 2022 was planned and organized this year by Kathryn Koromilas and Brittany Polat. Andi Sciacca and Sukhraj Gill assisted in hosting the event and Anne Gehrmann assisted with moderation. Special thanks goes out to all of the speakers and coaches who participated: Professor Nancy Sherman; Professor Christopher Gill, Karen Duffy, Kasey Pierce, Melinda Latour, Nathan Dufour, Tim LeBon, Andi Sciacca, Scott Perry, Lydia Scratch, Dr Matthew Sharpe, Simon Drew, Linda Bebbington, Nona Maiorano, and Katie Stidolph. #Stoicism #Stoicon #philosophyoflife |
