In this calculus example problem, we integrate an indefinite integral for a rational function using the u substitution method. Factoring is required for this substitution to work on this problem and the antiderivative works out to be a natural log rule ln. Each part of the process of integration is explained and written step-by-step as we find the antiderivative of this integral.
