It looks like King Kong is ready for a re-match, as Warner Bros announced Godzilla versus Kong's untitled sequel is coming to theaters in 2024, as Variety reports. So far, little is known about the next installment in Legendary’s MonsterVerse, but now that we have a release date, it shouldn’t be long to find out which new giant beast will face Earth’s two mightiest defenders.

Warner Bros. quickly realized the obvious: people like to watch giant monsters beating each other to a pulp on the biggest screen possible. So, it didn’t take long for Legendary to announce they were working on a sequel. Besides a sequel for Godzilla versus Kong, Legendary's MonsterVerse is also planning the release of a Titans TV show. The series takes place after the “thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the untitled Monsterverse series will explore one family's journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch. Apple TV + announced that WandaVision’s Matthew Shakman will be directing the first two episodes of the series. The director will also serve as an executive producer on the project. At it doesn't end there. There is also a Skull Island Anime going to Netflix in the very near future. Skull Island follows a group of shipwreck survivors who are desperate to escape the most dangerous place on Earth—a mysterious island home to prehistoric monsters, including the greatest Titan of them all, Kong. It looks like Legendary is fully commited to their Monsterverse. Beyond TV Shows and Movies they have also announced a brand new action adventure MonsterVerse video game. For the next announcement, an article from a French journal website called The Business Journal that announced Legendary Entertainment is developing a theme park with the help from Studios Occitanie Méditerranée. According to the article, Legendary’s biggest franchises such as Godzilla and King Kong from the Monsterverse series, Pacific Rim, and DUNE and their worlds will be the center focus of the theme park’s attractions. Video game studio Ubisoft announced the same partnership with with Studios Occitanie in November 2021 for an “Entertainment Center” concept, located in the same area as Legendary Entertainment’s theme park, and will open by 2025, as well.
