In Christianity, Archangel Michael is a spiritual warrior, leader of angels, and guardian of the Church. The title "archangel" means "chief angel", and Michael is described as a "chief prince" of the heavenlies. 

In the Bible, Michael is mentioned by name five times. He is described as fighting, contending, or standing against evil spirits and principalities. In Revelation 12, Michael is described as leading a multitude of angels in a war over Satan and his demons.
