Electro Optic Systems (EOS) is an Australian high technology business operating in the global defence, space and communications domains. The EOS business is a group of companies headed by Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (“EOS” or “the Group”).

Headquartered in Canberra, Australia, where the business was founded in 1983, EOS specialises in:
• remote weapon systems and counter-drone technologies
• high energy laser weapons
• space domain awareness and control
• naval satellite communications products.

Key aspects of EOS include:
• Business in turnaround, new leadership installed in H2 2022 (CEO, CFO & Chair): Phase I completed – funding, cost reduction, portfolio review / execution
• FY23 saw highest ever revenue ($219m)
• Highest every cash receipts ($326m) and net operating cash flow ($113m) •With business on a more stable footing, focus is now primarily on profitable growth
• Several new product launched in 2023 e.g. lightweight R150 RWS, counter-drone solution “Slinger” product
• Debt that was taken out during time of crisis is now substantially repaid
• Recent $35m placement being used to facilitate growth opportunities.
• Order Backlog $441m, or $662m if include conditional contracts for Ukraine
• Ongoing work to diversify the revenue base (33% of revenue came from Europe in 2023)
• Positive net Q1 2024 revenue of $75m-$80m
• Work continues on future growth opportunities in High Energy Laser Weapons and Space Warfare (commercialisation to be funded by 3rd parties)
