What are the contradictions between the Advaita view of Adi Shankaracharya and Swami Vivekananda?

No contradictions actually. The difference is in the emphasis.

Shankara was a forerunner of Vivekananda and Vivekananda was Shankara reborn.

Shankara reestablished the supremacy of Upanishads, established Shanmatha, composed many devotional hymns and established Maths which to this day teach the laity to do their Karma diligently and with devotion. The emphasis was on Jnana. ‘Do everything in a dharmic way; get purity and that will give you jnana and that jnana will give you Mukti’ that was Shankara. Indian people of his times had become dim in intelligence though they were still doers. So Shankara didn’t emphasis too much on the doing part but more on the knowing part.

Vivekananda taught people to be free, serve humankind with the understanding of Advaita, that is, the understanding that the humanity served is not different (A-dvaita) from the Supreme. Indians of Vivekananda’s times had become lazy in doing as well as dim intelligence. As they were more lazy than dim, his emphasis was on doing their bit by rising up (Arise) and then Awaking and Stopping Not till the goal is reached.
