Rick Amasino discusses the range of genetically engineered crops that have been deployed in agriculture, the types of crops that might be developed in the future, and whether genetically engineered crops pose unique risks relative to conventionally bred crops. Much of his talk will relate to a recent National Academy of Sciences report that he coauthored, “Genetically Engineered Crops: Experiences and Prospects.”
