1993 5.7 350ci LT1 (275hp) & 1987 5.7 350ci TPI (225hp) keep in mind that the 1987 was the lowest horsepower rated 5.7L TPI 350 from 87-92 3rd gens, & every year after gaining horsepower, with the 1990-92 cars putting out 245hp. You will notice the high torque of the TPI in this video, as the TPI is stronger out of the hole and gives the LT1 a good run up until the 1/8 mile mark... then the LT1 takes over up top, & its all LT1 there-after... The 1987 TPI cars were high 14 second cars (14.7 recorded times) whereas the later version TPI cars (90-92) were mid 14 second cars (14.4 recorded times) The purpose of this video is to show facts by example... because we all know how much bogus information floats around YouTube.
