“Achieving Excellence” is a cinematic food documentary set in the 21st century that explores the creative process to compete in Bocuse d`Or and the grand designs needed to be awarded the prestigious title. It’s a film about hard work, dedication, passion, and creativity.

We go inside of the life and kitchen of Sweden’s candidate, Jimmi Eriksson, to explore what it takes to achieve excellence. The documentary provides insights into the minds of the creatives and professionals involved. While also revealing the extensive challenges and collaborations.

Achieving Excellence is produced by Gustaf Björlin, Director of Photography and Editor, and Nicole Jacobsen, Producer and Executive Producer.

The episodic pilot will be released in September 2022 - and mark the start of the five month production period until the final in Lyon 22-23rd of January 2023.

Timeline -
Pilot episode | Feb 2022 - August 2022: The episodic pilot for our documentary Achieving Excellence was produced four weeks before and during the European qualification of Bocuse d´Or in Budapest, 23th - 24th of March 2022.

Development | Jan 2022 - August 2022: The script for Achieving Excellence has been workshopped for six months before the official pre-production and production, and, is a continuous work and collaboration throughout the five month of production.

Pre-Production I July +August 2022: We’re currently building our creative team, fundraising, and finalizing the production plan and shoot dates.

Production I September 2022 - January 2023 : We’re slated to film throughout five months on selected days up until the final in Lyon 22th - 23th of January 2023.

Post-Production I Winter 2023: We will begin film processing, editing, color correction, sound design, and composing music for the film in the winter of 2023.

Release I 2023/2024: Our goal is to premiere the film in 2023, and to have a public release through an online platform or streaming service ideally in end of 2023/ 2024.
