We wept with joy along with Teresa Teng for her recognition as the Best Newcomer in Japan in 1974. We are sharing with her of her joy and sense of pride and accomplishment these many years later.

Her second Japanese single, Kuuko 空港 sold for 750,000 copies in 1974 and Teresa Teng was given the prestigious Best Newcomer Award on December 31, 1974. The ceremony was broadcast all over Japan on TBS.
