Globinar on Global Supply Chain:

East Coast Ports On Challenges and Path Forward

Due to the Covid pandemic and the bottleneck caused by the west coast supply chain issues, congestion of cargo has impacted the nation in a major way. What are the alternatives in the East Coast ports that can help alleviate backups? We have invited speakers from top East Coast ports and gateways including New York/New Jersey, Virginia and Jacksonville to give their views on challenges and opportunities.

We will discuss how each of these ports has been impacted by this supply chain issues and how they are planning for the future both in infrastructure and process. What needs to happen with the models at each port and the East Coast in general to create an effective pipeline for delivery of cargo?

This is a cross metro and hybrid event (in-person and via zoom) organized by Global Chamber chapters from Baltimore/Washington, New York, and Miami. Please note there is an “in-person” ticket option to attend in Baltimore/Washington and in New York. Thanks to our sponsors EMO Trans in Maryland, and Corpay in New York for hosting the in-person segments. Each in-person session is limited to 15 people so register early!

Speakers:
Senator Ben Cardin, United States Senator
Nicol Polidoro, Northeast Regional Account Manager Port Department, The Port Authority of NY & NJ.
Tara Emam, Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts, Port of Virginia
James Butcher, Marketing and Sales Representative – Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT)
