video thumbnail
Kate Chiang talks about generic medicine and how implementing it into our modern medical practices can make a massive difference in our world. Kate Chiang is currently a junior at Whitney High School. She is passionate about cell biology and medicine, and is looking forward to presenting her scientific perspective on the COVID-19 pandemic. When her mind is not wandering through the realm of endless scientific possibilities, she enjoys writing, jogging, watching YouTube, playing with her dog, and practicing her public speaking skills at her local Toastmasters International club. As a physician, she hopes to one day apply a deep understanding of biochemistry and anatomy in the interest of medical advancement and public health. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
