Celtic have emphatically restored their seven-point lead at the Scottish Premiership summit with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle.
Matt O’Riley opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a superbly composed volley finish from an excellent Luis Palma assist which rather set the tone for the afternoon. A second goal soon arrived from Daizen Maeda’s tap-in which left the visitors fully in command at half-time. It was exactly a year ago today that VAR was first introduced to Scottish football and there was a touch of controversy to mark the occasion as the visitors were awarded a penalty seconds into the second half as Kyogo went down a touch easily under Alex Cochrane's challenge.
