Razer Blackshark V2 Pro unboxing and review - Great sound, lacklustre mic |
|
This is an unboxing and review of the Razer Blackshark Pro v2. A wireless version of Razer's headset that they claim to be an "eSports Wireless Gaming headset".
NOTE - the mic from this headset is used for the voice over so you know what it sounds like. The Razer Blackshark Pro v2 offers a number of interesting features that include: - A funky and curious design with a nicely expandable headband - 24 hours of battery life - Loud drivers - Both wireless and 3.5mm wired connection options - Large ear cups - THX Audio options offering a fairly decent position See the Blackshark V2 Pro here: Razer US - https://razer.a9yw.net/vonaj Best Buy - https://bestbuy.7tiv.net/ynR1W Amazon US - https://amzn.to/2GEjZDA Amazon UK - https://amzn.to/3lmiXuG Amazon CA - https://amzn.to/3iEKnu6 Amazon DE - https://amzn.to/3lnEV0n Amazon FR - https://amzn.to/3nkNLhj Amazon IT - https://amzn.to/34sN1y1 Overclockers - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/razer-blackshark-v2-pro-wireless-gaming-headset-rz04-03220100-r3m1-sp-057-ra.html?tap_a=3629-86a85a&tap_s=1040562-efca15&utm_source=platform&utm_medium=yourname&utm_campaign=tapfiliate-affiliate&ref=theprovokedprawn Highlights of this headset for me: - Sound is good. Rich, good positional audio, nice tweaks in Razer Synapse and great for music, gaming and whatever - 3.5mm and Wireless connections mean it's easy to use with most things - Large earcups are comfortable to wear - Large headband is perfect for big noggins - No fuss design Lowlights: - Mic quality is seriously compressed - No USB-C or Bluetooth connection options - Design is rather in-your-face despite lack of RGB - Earcup material is scratchy and uncomfortable - Wireless signal disconnects easily over a short distance See the official page here https://www.razer.com/gaming-headsets/razer-blackshark-v2-pro/RZ04-03220100-R3U1 Specs of the BlackShark Pro V2 include: FREQUENCY RESPONSE 12 Hz – 28 kHz IMPEDANCE 32 Ω (1 kHz) SENSITIVITY 100 dBSPL/mW, 1 kHz DRIVER SIZE - DIAMETERS (MM) 50 mm DRIVER TYPE Razer TriForce Titanium EARCUPS Breathable memory foam cushions INNER EARCUP DIAMETER 2.56" x 1.57" 65 mm x 40 mm EARPADS MATERIAL Ultra-soft FlowKnit memory foam NOISE CANCELLING Advanced passive noise cancellation CONNECTION TYPE 2.4 GHz wireless Analog 2.5 mm CABLE LENGTH 4.27 ft. / 1.3 m WEIGHT 0.71 lbs / 320 g MICROPHONE STYLE Razer™ HyperClear Supercardioid Mic PICK-UP PATTERN Unidirectional - Supercardioid MICROPHONE FREQUENCY RESPONSE 100 Hz – 10 kHz MICROPHONE SENSITIVITY (@1KHZ) -42 ± 3 dB VIRTUAL SURROUND ENCODING THX Spatial Audio VOLUME CONTROL On-earcup: Volume Up/ Down OTHER CONTROLS On-earcup controls - Mic mute on/off toggle BATTERY LIFE Up to 24 hours LIGHTING None COMPATIBILITY PC, Mac, PS4, Nintendo Switch Big thanks to my super awesome YouTube members: Meatykeyboard!
