Neurosurgeon explains: Doctor recommended treatment of Low Back Pain - the first 12 weeks. |
|
There are thousands of remedies for low back pain. Most are scams. In this video renowned neurosurgeon, Dr. Dan Lieberman explains what science says you should and shouldn't do to treat your low back pain and finally find relief.
Guidelines based on reputable science recommend modalities (massage, acupuncture, manipulation), moist heat, and NSAID medications or muscle relaxants for 3 weeks at home before seeing a medical or chiropractic doctor. Dr. Lieberman goes through the appropriate time frame for getting an x-ray, physical therapy, and magnetic resonance imaging. By six weeks you'll be seeing a pain doctor, and a surgeon as appropriate at 9 weeks. The course of treatment ends at 12 weeks.
