Kenyan MPs show shocking unity on money related matters

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sworn he will not sign any Bill contravening the Salaries and Remuneration Commission recommendation that MPs Mileage and Sitting allowances to be slashed. The President says it's shameful for MPs to demand higher pay during these tough economic times. He was speaking at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa a day after MPs vowed to restore their allowances.
