Pan Africa Insurance Holdings Limited, which is listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, has rebranded to Sanlam Kenya Plc. In line with the change, Pan Africa Life is now Sanlam Life Insurance, Pan Africa Asset Management becomes Sanlam Investments and Gateway Insurance changes to Sanlam General Insurance.

The rebrand has been occasioned by the need to comply with the new Companies Act and as a means to harmonise its identity with its parent company based in South Africa. The Sanlam Group has businesses in 34 countries and first acquired a stake in Pan Africa Holdings Limited in 2006 by buying into African Life Assurance Group.
