The School of Foreign Service (SFS) began day one of the Madeleine K. Albright Symposium on Diplomacy with The World She Shaped: Albright’s Academic Legacy on September 29, 2022 at Georgetown University. During the two day symposium, the Georgetown community gathered to honor the life and legacy of long-time SFS professor and former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright.
In a panel on Albright’s academic work, foreign policy scholars G. John Ikenberry, Stacie Goddard, Deborah Avant, Angela Stent and moderator Elizabeth Saunders reflected on Secretary Albright’s nearly 40 year legacy at SFS. A beloved professor, Albright brought her wealth of experience to her American National Security Tool Box course.
