Matchday 13 of the Ukrainian Premier League saw second-placed Dnipro drop points at home to Hoverla from Uzhhorod.

The hosts managed 27 shots on goal but only managed to beat the keeper once, courtesy of this header from Kalinic in the 57th minute - the Croatian's seventh goal of the campaign.

Hoverla's response came just minutes later as striker Vitaly Kaverin took advantage of some sloopy defending to slot home from just outside the six-yard box.

In the 83rd minute the visitors almost stole all three points, only for the goal post to deny them.

Elsewhere defending champions Shakhtar recorded a 2-0 victory over Karpaty. Both goals came before half time, the first from Brazilian Alex Teixeira.

The win leaves Shakhtar in third place, three behind leaders Dynamo Kyiv, who cemented their place at the top of the table on 30 points with a 1-1 draw away to Metalurh Zaporizhya
