In this property education video, Simon Zutshi, author of Property Magic, founder of the property investors network (pin), and successful property investor since 1995 talks through the Stamp Duty Holiday in the UK, which was announced on 8th July 2020.

The Stamp duty Holiday actually only affects England and Northern Ireland because SDLT Stamp Duty in Scotland and Wales is different.

With the Stamp Duty Holiday explained by Simon, he highlights how even though it is a Stamp Duty Holiday during COVID-19, the Stamp Duty Holiday will be in place until the 31st of March 2021.

Simon Zutshi expands on how this Stamp duty holiday works with Stamp Duty for First Time Buyers, set to 0% for purchases up to £500k, until March 31st 2021, and how this has been has been put in place to stimulate the post COVID-19 Housing Market.

This Stamp duty Holiday has clearly been introduced by the UK government to prop up the UK property market to avoid a Property Crash in 2020.

Simon Zutshi also explains how this Stamp Duty Holiday will still require Second Home Buyers, and property investors to pay the 3% Stamp duty Surcharge.

Simon shares his thoughts on the two main results of a Stamp Duty Holiday during Coronavirus, including how it will encourage a lot more Real Estate investors to try and sell their property.

For those who know what they are doing with property investment in the UK, Simon emphasises how you can profit from the potential Property Crash after COVID-19.
