Studies and case numbers on health care disparities among African-Americans have always been staggering, long before COVID-19's disproportionate effect on Black people. The difference now is more people are paying attention. So, instead of looking at the numbers, we're looking at some real people and some of the actions being taken to make it better, the continuing problems on multiple levels, and a little bit of history as to how we got here.
