The documentary series “Protectors of the Plateau” investigates the challenges facing the people responsible for animal protection efforts in one of the most inhospitable parts of northwest China. In episode two, we see how Cheng Chen analyses fecal samples and gain an understanding on how this helps protect snow leopards. We are further introduced to the challenges faced during protection such as illegal poaching and revenge killings and the solutions to these problems.
