The Naperville Public Library is under new leadership.
At their latest meeting, the board of trustees chose current deputy director, Julie Rothenfluh, as Interim Library Director.

She will replace current Director John Spears, who is leaving to pursue another job in Utah.

"A lot of the initiatives and things he helped get started and get moving along, we just want to continue that," said Rothenfluh. "It's helping move the library where it needs to be to be competitive and to be a vital part of the community."

Also appointed at the meeting was new Board President Sandy Benson.

Trustees serve three-year terms no more than two times; they are appointed by the mayor and approved by the city council.
