Hollis Youngner's Story - Mayo Clinic Model of Care

video thumbnail
It has been three years since Georgia native Hollis Youngner, 34, had been diagnosed and treated for HER2+ breast cancer.
So in late 2014, when she started “just feeling yucky, tired, nauseous, cancer wasn’t on my mind,” Youngner says. “I was secretly excited, thinking of ways to tell everyone I was pregnant.” Unfortunately, a chest x-ray, prompted by a complaint of being short of breath, set in motion a series of events that ultimately resulted in an ambulance ride to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., a re-diagnosis of breast cancer and a marathon CPR session by the hospital critical care team.
