Philips Air Purifier Series 800 Review: How Well it Eliminates "Fragrant" Food Smells. |
|
We've taken a look at the Philips Air Purifier Series 800 (AC0820/30). It removes 99.5% particles as small as 3 nanometer & supports the room size of up to 49 m2 (527 ft2). The device has a professional-grade sensor & uses a color based LED feedback, to show you the indoor air quality. Auto, Turbo & Sleep are the modes available when it's on (leaving it on the auto-purification mode is simple).
You will have the option to enable the Turbo mode (at a touch of a button), which might be useful first thing in the morning, or after cooking a meal. Whereas a night-mode allow the device to be almost silent (it still works - but at a significantly reduced noise level / speed), useful if you're playing a movie in the living room; or use the device in the bedroom (& do not want to be waken in the night). The user swappable filter, has a recommended lifetime of 12-months (longer than some cheaper models) - thus reducing the total cost of the ownership potentially. Our tip? Set a reminder in 11.5 month to get another filter. Have a bigger room? Look at the Philips AC3033/30 supports upto 104 M2 space.
