Karma works through a good deed. Karma does not have any relation to fate. Later or sooner you will realize the good deeds are always your reflection of you and your thoughts. So, when you come across to the result, you will this as a conclusion of the event. In point of fact, all things are connected to each other, they reflect in-universe as a chain of events. Do not expect the result immediately, it takes its own time. Karma never facilitates punishment and reward. Your karma itself a reward, whenever you feel that you want to do good for the society that satisfaction you got during this thought process, it is a reward.
