Full title: Incidence of Anteromedial Osteoarthritis in Indian Patients Undergoing Total Knee Arthroplasty.
Sunshine Hospitals, Hyderabad Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr. Adarsh Annapareddy reports on his study of nearly 1400 total knee replacements.  The goal was to find out if more Indian patients would benefit from a partial (unicodylar/UKA) knee replacement instead of a total knee replacement.  He tells the Joint Replacement Surgeons Council of India,"Why did we do this study?  Because of the "unhappy knees."  The twenty percent of "unhappy knees" after total knee replacement."

He reports that over 40% of patients with Anteromedial Osteoarthritis (AMOA) could be "amenable" for the UKA, based on Oxford guidlines.
