Remediating Cognitive Skills for Students with Learning Disabilities

video thumbnail
Students with learning disabilities often have deficits in core underlying cognitive functions, such as working memory, executive function, and visual and auditory processing. Traditional support for students with learning disabilities has often focused on accommodations and strategies to work around the weaker cognitive areas. Research is now showing the potential to build working memory, executive function, attention and other cognitive processes in ways, rather than working around them, with dramatic impact on academic performance. Join us as we explore the science of remediating cognitive gaps.
The agenda for this web conference:
• The Cognitive Skills Associated with Reading and Math
