A Post-Human Fairytale | Victor Mardikian | TEDxYouth@Columbia

video thumbnail
An anthropological fairytale of an alien being that lands on Earth and tries to understand humans’ connections to reality, cyberspace, the present, and the past. Victor Mardikian is a fourth-year undergraduate architecture student at Clemson University. In the summer of 2018, he acquired a prestigious internship in Paris immersing himself in a rigorous learning experience that reinforced his interpretation of design. He is particularly interested in the subject of memory and the narrative capacity of architecture to address its increasing lack of receptivity by coalescing elements from context, communities, culture, technology, and ecology. He plans to pursue his studies in graduate school to further his education. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
