DELVE DEEPER into APT9 https://blog.qagoma.qld.gov.au/category/qagoma/asia-pacific-triennial / Enkhbold Togmidshiirev staged an improvised roving performance in the outdoor spaces surrounding GOMA from 10.00am on Sunday 25 November 2018 for the opening weekend of APT9, as part of his ongoing Ger Project. Since 2008, Enkhbold has created a number of personalised structures derived from the form of the traditional Mongolian ger or yurt, in order to forge a connection with his surroundings. Setting up a ger creates a temporary home that Enkhbold equates to a spiritual space.

The performance commenced on the the Kurilpa Bridge, with Enkhbold making his way across the bridge before concluding the performance in the GOMA Forecourt.

Free, and curated for audiences of all ages, the APT series 'The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art' (APT9) overflows with colour and life and profiles artworks by more than 80 artists, groups and projects from over 30 countries, and is presented across the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). The 9th edition of APT, QAGOMA’s flagship exhibition series, continues to foster the development and presentation of the world's most significant works of contemporary Asian, Pacific and Australian art since 1993.
