The narcissist shame rage spiral is likely something you have seen many times if you know a narcissist or someone with narcissistic personality disorder (npd). The narcissist shame is something they cannot deal with due to their lack of object constancy and their fragile senses of self. They can easily experience narcissistic injury and this leads to narcissistic rage. Why do narcissists use denial? They cannot deal with any shame so they must use projection such as blame shifting and gaslighting as a way to push away shame.
