In this video i’m going to review, the compound effect by Darren hardy. This book will help you
achieve big goals, dreams and success BUT there is a strong Warning in the book. The chapters
look simple, and the principles thereof have been ignored by many, however implementing them,
will catapult your income, your life and your success like no other.

Lets First look at the soft copy book itself.

1) its a medium sized book with 172 pages, great for fitting in
your bag when you need to read on the go.
2) its a very light read with terminology that’s easy to
understand and easy to relate to.


THE CHAPTERS:
The book has 6 chapters and each chapter ends with an Action page. I see this Action page as homework
and its very important that you start taking these action steps. The book has figures and sketches to help
explain the narrative which makes it easy to understand. Without further a-dew, The 6 Chapters are

2) Choices
3) Habits
4) Momentum
5) Influences
6) Acceleration


Here is a quick introduction on the Book. This Book was written to take you back to the basics.
Unfortunately their is no magic bullet, Quick Fix or a secret formula for success. The book is very clear on,
it’s hard to earn success, the process is slow and you definitely need a new plan. See the Compound
Effect as an operating system, A system that involves time, positive habits and consistency, The book
has short stories that bring principles, teaching and wisdom through from Darren’s personal life. For
example, Darrens dad has a story of how old-fashioned hard and consistent work was embedded in
Darren’s life as a kid, and how these values has been lost through the media conditioning us to believe in
fairytale endings found in movies and Novels.

WHAT IS THE COMPOUND EFFECT
“The Compound Effect is like the ripple effect, A tiny pebble thrown into the water creates a series of
ripples. the ripples start small and insignificant, but then soon after the ripples get bigger and far
reaching. The compound effect is exactly the same. Instead of a pebble you have a habit or a choice that
gets repeated day after day, in the beginning the habit is small and insignificant, but then over time
compounds and reaps massive rewards.

Small consistent action over a long time results into something amazing. The book points out, that slow
and steady wins the race. The example the book gives is about three friends who start at the same place
and then end up having totally different lives as a result of applying and not applying the compound effect.
the book is very clear, The compound effect is always working whether you are choosing something good
or bad, they both accumulate and add up in the end.


BIG MO

Big Mo, also known as momentum is one of the important driving forces that will get you success. Big Mo
is based on the Law of Inertia: Objects in motion tend to stay in motion, unless something stops their
momentum. As the book states it, couch potatoes tend to stay coach potatoes.


I’ve applied the compound effect to my own life and its completely changed how I do work. Before being a
Youtube, I was a wedding photographer and I used to struggle to get my edits out on time. then I applied
the compound effect. Every day I set a goal to edit 40 images over a 30 day period. Making a daily
commitment and implementing a daily discipline gives you not only a mental edge but a work / life / time
and a success advantage.
