ABC's "The Middle" was anything but a middling sitcom. It was a smashing success that ran for an impressive nine seasons on the network. Not only did it boast some sitcom royalty with "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Patricia Heaton and "Scrubs" standout Neif Flynn, it also made stars of the kids in the cast: Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher, and Atticus Shaffer.
