Mahanati is a 2018 Telugu biographical film directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie is a biopic on the life of legendary south Indian actor, singer, director, and producer Savitri, widely considered India’s first female superstar. The film stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead role and Samantha Akkineni plays the role of a journalist named Vani who is writing about the film star for a short article in the newspaper.
