Back in 2018, I wanted to build the largest domino pyramid ever. After two failed attempts, I was finally able to finish the pyramid with the size of 31x31. That was a solid record which stood for almost four years without anyone beating it. But it changed in 2021, when a Minecraft YouTuber, Wunba destroyed my record. Not with one, but two layers. And I knew what I had to do.
I bought some more dominoes specifically for this project. After moving to a new house, I had the time to start working on the project. I got pretty far on my first attempt and I thought I was going to make it. However, it crashed down near the finish. Ii had reached the size of 32x32, a new personal record, but still not bigger than Wunba's.
I took a break and focused on other projects until 2023. I decided that it was a fresh start and I was more than ever determined to break the world record. I had two failed attempts, but I kept going. My work finally paid off.
On the 3rd of Febryary, the pyramid was finished and it looks dope. Everything went fine and the pyramid even fell on the first attempt. I messed up the settings on my second camera, so I did not get a clear 60fps shot of the falldown. But that aside, I'm happy with the result.

I'm aware of the fact that this does not qualify to be an official Guinness World Record because of the brand of dominoes that I'm using. I was also aware of it the last time I broke the record. This was more of a personal accomplishment and a proof that anything is possible if you just try hard enough. Also I don't think GWR defines which is a world record and which is not.
The record has come a long way during the years and I'm excited to see what the future holds for domino pyramid records. If 34x34 is possible, I'm sure 35x35 will be as well. If you try to break my record, I will be looking forward to taking that title back ;)
