Volvo’s electrified range has a new entry point with the introduction of the XC40 plug-in hybrid

The XC40 needs no introduction, having won our Carsales car of the year award in 2018 and earning its rightful place at the pointy end of the premium compact SUV segment. The XC40 T5 PHEV is the new range-topper for the line-up, priced at $64,990 plus on-road costs – a $9000 premium over the current T5 R-Design flagship. It combines a peppy three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor.
