Opening of the exhibition "Digital Art, a new world"

The Chicago Athenaeum: Μuseum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and PROJECT 2 ATHENS present the exhibition titled «Digital Art, A New World» and invite you to the opening on Thursday the 5th of May at 18.00 at the THE EUROPEAN CENTRE/Contemporary Space Athens, 74 Mitropoleos Street at the historical center of Athens.
The exhibition “Digital Art, A New World” introduces the work of 28 artists and presents over 80 works of art. The show is dedicated to digital art and includes digital collages, video, animation, augmented reality artworks, photography, installations and digital music.
The exhibition is organized and curated by PROJECT 2 ATHENS and aims to highlight the extensive use of digital technology in art today and the change in the aesthetics of art as a result of the use of digital media in creating and presenting art. The use of digital technology has also changed the way art is shared, enjoyed and acquired. The exhibition is accompanied by two lectures on the following topics: “Art, digital media and neuroscience” and the use of NFTs in art.
