Hurricane Idalia battered Florida's Big Bend Wednesday, making landfall as a powerful Category 3 hurricane with 125 mph winds. The storm officially made landfall in Taylor County, near the town of Perry.

This video shows Idalia's strong winds destroying a gas station awning and fuel pumps as it hammered southwest Florida. The storm caused widespread flooding, took down trees and power lines and one person was reportedly killed in a crash.
