Noor Islam was released on November 1, 1957. The music of the film was composed by Hassan Latif while the songs were written by Tanveer Naqvi and the story was written by Arsh Lucknow. Naeem Hashmi was one of the leading artists of the subcontinent and one of the founding leaders of the Pakistani film industry. He was an evergreen actor, poet and writer. Naeem Hashmi started his film career in the Indian film industry in 1946 with BR Chopra's Chandni Chowk, but after the partition of India, Naeem Hashmi made Lahore his home and started his film activities in Lahore. JC Anand was born in 1922 in the town of Bheera in Punjab. He started his film career in 1937 as a modest employee of Andralori Pictures and then after working day and night became a film distributor himself. In 1938, he founded the first and most famous film company in Pakistan, Ever Reddy. JC Anand later made superhit films including Sisi, Miss 56, Noor Islam, Sohaili, Sham Dhale, Olad, Heer, Dachi, Ishq Laila, Sangdal, Zamana Ki Kahe Ga, Mehtab, Maa Ke Ansoo, as a filmmaker. Tes Mar Khan, Adil, Aag, Aina, Ashiana, Dala Bhatti, Man & Adam, Banarasi Thug, Bobby, Daman & Spark, Threshold, One Sin & True And successful films like Munawar Zarif, Salakheen, Amrat Jan Ada, Suraya Bhopali, Shabana, Shama. After his death his eldest son Satish Chand Anand took over the reins of the company. He was abducted once and was released seven months later.
