Author Douglas Murray says many celebrities pretend to be friends and are only seen together to “boost each other’s image” after it was revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not invited to Oprah Winfrey’s birthday party.

“No point in going round to Oprah if you need a cup of sugar or vice versa,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
