This year, the Jashn witnessed the first women's group to perform the Chahar Bait, a folk music genre originating 1500 years ago. Chahar (Four) Bait (Verse) is a musical composition comprising of various quatrains. It has travelled from Afghanistan and has its roots in the war poetry of Arabia.
