The Blue Whale Challenge is an online game in which participants follow a social media account, which instructs them to complete 50 disturbing challenges. Challenges grow in their extremes; starting with watching a horror movie or listening to a particular song and develop into the participant live streaming some form of self-harm.

The Blue Whale Challenge hit headlines after it was linked to the death of 130 teenagers in Russia. Various media reports suggested the game began in Russia before spreading to Eastern Europe and two ‘masterminds’ behind the evil game have now been arrested.

US media reports claimed The Blue Whale Challenge was responsible for the death of two teenagers including 15-year-old Isaiah Gonzalez, whose parents spoke out about the game after they found he had live-streamed his suicide on his smartphone. However, many experts claim the game is a hoax after they have been unable to confirm a link between the deaths and the challenge.

A teen boy comes across the online social media game, The Blue Whale. He is given one challenge after the other. He accomplishes every task and keeps on moving to the subsequent levels. The final and concluding challenge asks him to commit suicide. He clicks himself on top of a building and jumps. If police speculations are to be believed, this is what led to the death of the 14-year-old Mumbai boy four days ago. This is the first death in India, which is being linked to the infamous Blue Whale Game

ಹಮಿರ್ಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಮೌದಾಹಾ ಎಂಬ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಪರ್ಥ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಎಂಬ ಬಾಲಕ ತನ್ನ ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಣು ಬಿಗಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಸಾಯುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಫೋನ್ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಫೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಬ್ಲೂ ವ್ಹೇಲ್ ಗೇಮ್ ವಿಂಡೋ ತೆರೆದಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಬಾಲಕನ ಸಾವಿಗೆ ಬ್ಲೂ ವ್ಹೇಲ್ ಗೇಮ್ ಕಾರಣ ಎಂಬುದು ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ದೃಢವಾಗಿದೆ.



ಆತ ಬ್ಲೂ ವ್ಹೇಲ್ ಗೇಮ್ ಆಡುವುದು ಮನೆಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಸಿ, ಆ ಆಟ ಆಡದಂತೆ ತಾಕೀತು ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿತ್ತಾದರೂ, ತಂದೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಫೋನ್ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಈತ ಆಟವಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 27 ರಂದು ಸಂಜೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಬ್ಬರ ಬರ್ಥಡೇ ಪಾರ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಪರ್ಥ್ ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ರೂಮಿನಿಂದ ಆಚೆ ಬಾರದಿದ್ದಾಗ ತಂದೆ ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಮಗನ ಕೋಣೆಯತ್ತ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಚ್ಚಿದ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಅತ್ತೆಡೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಬಾರದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಕೋಣೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಒಡೆದು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಮಗ ನೇಣಿಗೆ ಶರಣಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕಾಣಿಸಿದೆ.
