I added a TP link Deco X20 Mesh Network in my home to reach my garage and to get a 5 GHz connection throughout my home.

The included Arcadyan KDV21 gateway from T-mobile have a decent signal that it can reach all of 3600 sq. ft. area of my home but mostly with 2.4 GHz connection. The 5 GHz is only available in the 4 open area right next to where the gateway is but all bedroom and backyard can only connect to the 2.4 GHz network. The garage is the only spotty area I have a but I will need it to be consistent because I have a smart garage opener and a security camera that depends on WiFi.

I tried both DHCP and Access point mode and noticed that the access point mode was able to give me a higher speed immediately. When I set it to DHCP, the connection seem slow (around 40-50 Mbps) but it looks like it was able to adjust after a few hours. I am not a professional network person so I am not sure what is going on in the background. It could be the router adjusting or the service itself was slow when I was testing the DHCP mode but I just ran a speed test while writing this description and I am getting a 266Mbps download and 68.1Mbps upload in my phone. I have it set to DHCP for about 4 days now without experiencing any issue. I did not change anything on my T-mobile gateway as well. I guess it just works because they are using 2 different IP range.
