Manchester United have absolutely no intention of trying to revive Alexis Sanchez’s career at Old Trafford, according to The Athletic. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes that a permanent deal for the Chile international materialises during the summer, after he returns from his loan at Inter Milan. But, any deal would rely on Sanchez impressing during his spell in Serie A this season. He’s so far scored just one goal at the Italian club this season, after joining them on a season-long loan in August. But, Sanchez’s campaign has stalled after he picked up a serious ankle injury at the start of October. He was forced off the pitch in Chile’s 0-0 draw with Colombia, and isn’t likely to return to action until the new year. Sanchez started just one game for Antonio Conte’s side in the league before his injury setback, before being sent off in the same game. He did, however, feature in the starting XI for Inter’s trip to the Nou Camp to face Barcelona in October, and recorded an assist during the Champions League clash.
