No last hurrah for many attractions and travel agencies in Singapore to ring out the year. Tourist numbers are worse than expected, particularly for the top three groups: China, India and Indonesia. These are still roughly around half the number before the COVID-19 pandemic, and many are blaming higher inflation and the strong Singdollar for the drop. Industry watchers are also hoping for more easing of visa requirements.
