HTK#55 - U-shaped bridge |
|
11000 Kapla, 25 hours of work total. This construction contains a lot of mechanisms: regular dominos, 1 inversion, 2 wall starting with a tower, 3 elevator machines, and 8 standard tower machines to take down the bridge.
4 things went wrong, none of them being really problematic: - The first tower didn't properly take down the extremity of the wall. This can be fixed by adjusting the wall structure. - The weight repartition at the wall right angles was not correctly spread out, causing the wall to slow down (but it didn't stop, hopefully) - The first elevator machine didn't activate properly. The weight went sideways instead of going down. Still, the machine worked in an unexpected way. Extremely lucky. - One of the 9 pillars of the bridge didn't collapse. I intended to setup a mechanism to fix this (inclined bars inside the pillars), but I didn't out of laziness. Next time I'll definitely do it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result. |
